Overview

Bronx Care Health System's Department of Psychiatry seeks a Program Administrator for the Opioid Treatment Program. BronxCare Health System is one of only a few hospital systems in New York State to have an Opioid Treatment Program, Inpatient Detoxification unit, an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit, an Outpatient Addictions Treatment Program, and a Community Residence located on the same campus. In addition to these multiple levels of addiction treatment, BronxCare Health System has comprehensive mental health services provided by our Department of Psychiatry, the largest mental health provider in the South and Central Bronx. The incoming Program Administrator will join a diverse inter-disciplinary care team that includes Social Workers, Licensed Creative Art Therapists, Attending and Resident Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Practical Nurses, and CASAC counselors. BronxCare also has trainees onsite from various disciplines including Social Work; the incoming Program Administrators may be eligible to be involved in the training of social work students, if so desired. Opportunities to benefit from loan forgiveness programs are also available.

Responsibilities

The Program Administrator is an essential member of our Addictions Leadership Team and is responsible for: providing clinical and administrative leadership, developing and implementing program goals, ensuring that the program adheres to accrediting and regulatory standards. The successful candidate must also be able to collaborate with multiple disciplines within the Department of Psychiatry, in the wider context of a Teaching Hospital. The clinic is well structured and organized. The physical environment is well maintained and secure, and it is located within the BronxCare Fulton Psychiatry campus. Mass-transit and parking options are nearby.
