Bronx Care Health System is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist interested in working in an environment committed to providing the highest quality of patient care. We have an excellent opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Department of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (ENT).

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosis and treatment of communication, voice and swallowing disorders.
  • Prepares individualized treatment plans and recommendations.
  • Discusses findings and collaborates with patients/family on plan of care
  • Services will be provided to patients of all ages within the outpatient (Ambulatory Care Network Clinic) and inpatient (Bronx-Care Health System) settings.
  • The Speech Language Pathologist must demonstrate a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude in dealing with patients, families, significant others, and colleagues.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Speech-Language Pathology

Qualifications

  • Required Criteria

    • 5-8 years of clinical experience with the adult and pediatric population in an acute care/outpatient setting
    • Proficiency and competency in independently performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies & Fiberoptic Endoscoptic Evaluation of Swallowing Examinations.
    • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
    • Certification in Speech-Language Pathology by the American Speech & Hearing Association
    • Current New York State License in Speech-Language Pathology

    Preferred Criteria

    • Bilingual Spanish preferred
