Clinical Appl Analyst-II

The Department of Population Health is seeking a full-time analyst to join our Data Team in supporting the Department’s outpatient initiatives aimed at improving the health of Bronx residents. A strong candidate will be interested in healthcare delivery and passionate about solving problems through data-driven insights.

• Extract, analyze, and present clinical data to identify operational strengths and weaknesses
• Implement changes to the electronic medical record to improve patient care and provider efficacy
• Design, develop, evaluate and manage existing and proposed new clinical systems software
• Create dashboards to display trends and guide stakeholders
• Leverage predictive analytics to propose changes to clinical workflows
• Conduct tech rounds with an opportunity to shadow all levels of clinical staff, including physicians
• Assist in design, data collection and implementation of quality improvement projects and research studies
• Other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, CS, etc. preferred
Strong analytical and investigative skills
Desire to improve health outcomes with technology
Proficiency in Python, Java, C++, or similar language
Familiarity with basic statistical and/or economic principles
Experience with data visualization preferred
