Overview

BronxCare Health System, a major teaching hospital and health system, has an excellent opportunity for a BC/BE General Pediatrician in our Ambulatory Care  Outpatient Unit. We are seeking a highly motivated Pediatrician interested in working with an urban/underserved population in a dynamic and growing academic department.

Base Salary: $200,000-$245,000

 

Locations:1650 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY; 2739-45 Third Avenue, Bronx, NY; 2432 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY

BronxCare Health System is a large community hospital serving the South Bronx. The Department of Pediatrics includes a pediatric ED, inpatient unit, PICU, newborn nursery, level 3 NICU and ambulatory clinics. As an academic center teaching involves our 44 residents, as well as medical students.

We are affiliated with Levy School of Medicine of Mt. Sinai Hospital and offer academic appointments appropriate to academic credentials.

Responsibilities

Specifically we are seeking a self-starter who is interested in working with the Chair of Pediatrics and departmental leadership on the following goals:

 

  • Provide comprehensive health care to adolescents residing in our community,
  • Precepting our pediatric residents in the provision of healthcare to this population,
  • Formal didactic teaching of pediatric residents in adolescent health care,
  • Development of the Department’s adolescent health agenda

Qualifications

Board certified or eligible in pediatrics
