Overview

To plan, implement, and evaluate educational systems, programs, projects, and policies that promote and support the accomplishment of educational goals.

Responsibilities

- Participates in the development of other staff members
Identifies learning strengths and needs

 


- Identifies and designs programs that facilitate organizational development.

 


- Evaluates the effectiveness of educational activities at the level of the learner, the department and the institution.

 


- Develops, coordinates and implements activities to achieve educational objectives.

 


- Conducts, reviews and evaluates department’s educational needs assessments.
Selects appropriate instructional strategies for educational programs.

 


- Designs, develops and organizes training manuals, references, multi-media instructional aids, and other educational materials.

 


- Serves as a clinical educational resource, role model and facilitator for staff.
Coordinates activities for maintaining educational materials.

 


- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with patients, visitors and other employees. Interacts professionally, courteously, and appropriately with patients, visitors and other employees. Behaves in a manner consistent with maintaining and furthering a positive public perception of Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center and its employees.

 


- Contributes to and participates in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the assigned department. Contribution and participation includes data collection, analysis, implementation of the compliance with corrective/improvement activities, membership on CQI teams, consistent and specific rules and regulations of the B.L.H.C. (a) Safety & Security Polices, (b) Risk Management; Incident and Occurrence Reporting, (c) Infection Control Policies and Procedures, (d) Patient and Customer Service.

Qualifications

- Two (2) years of teaching experience


- Demonstrates leadership abilities


- Demonstrates clinical expertise in Nursing

 

- RN licensed in New York

 

- Masters
