Bronx Care Health System is offering an exciting opportunity to join our team of Speech-Language Pathologists within the Department of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (ENT) as a Per-Diem Speech-Language Pathologist. You would be responsible to provide coverage during staffing shortages, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Evaluation and treatment of adult patients with communication, voice and swallowing disorders within the inpatient setting.
Evaluation and treatment of pediatric patients with feeding disorders within the inpatient setting.
Document accurate patient evaluation and treatment notes in the electronic medical record as per departmental policies and procedures.
Demonstrate knowledge about head and neck cancer, tracheostomized patients and use of Passy Muir Speaking Valves.
Consult with physicians and other health care practitioners related to diagnostic evaluation and treatment as appropriate.
Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Speech Pathology.
