The Speech/Language Therapist will provide services to both the Ambulatory Care Network Clinic patients and
BronxCare Health System in-patients. The Speech/Language Therapist will report directly to the Director of
Audiology/Speech Pathology. Consultation services will be provided upon request to all other departments within
Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. Services will be provided to persons of all ages with communication and/or
dysphagia disorders
-Evaluation and treatment of the following disorders:
a. Speech disorders (e.g. articulation, fluency, voice).
b. Cognitive/communication speech and language disorders
1. child language disorders (e.g. neurodevelopmental
disorders; autism; mental retardation; learning
disabilities.
c. Oral-pharyngeal function (e.g. dysphagia/swallowing and related
disorders)
-Assess, selects and develops augmentative and alternative communication systems and provides training in their use.
-Provide evaluation of dysphagia patients using FEES (FlexibleEndoscopic Eval Swallow) and provides MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) testing.
-Assumes responsibility for in-service training and program development.
-Available to work five(5) days a week, 35 hours weekly.
-Three to five (3-5) years of clinical experience with children and adults .
-New York State License in Speech/Language Pathology.
-Master's in Speech Pathology.
