The Physical Therapy Technician supports and assists the Physical Therapist in physical rehabilitation of patient
illness or injury. The Physical Therapy Technician is responsible for the maintenance and performance of the
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation clinical equipment.
-Under direct supervision of the Chief of PT, the Physical Therapy
Technician will ensure that rehabilitation equipment is functioning safely
and efficiently.
-Under the direct supervision of the Chief of PT, the Physical Therapy
Technician will maintain equipment in a clean and safe manner for use in
treatment. Any equipment not up to standard must be reported to
Administrative Director
-Under direct supervision of the Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy
Technician will Implement treatment and document each treatment
according to established guidelines in the medical record. Modify goals
and/or treatment according to patient’s needs and in concurrence with
physician.
-Assists in maintaining the needs of the physical plant of the department
such as contacting housekeeping, engineering etc. Any problems must be
immediately communicated to the Chief of PT.
