Plans, implements, and evaluates comprehensive nutrition programs and services. Develops resources and training curriculums to support programs. Provides technical assistance and consultation to other health and human services professionals
-Responsible for Nutrition Education given to patients in the WIC Program.
-Responsible for the Administration and Fiscal Management of the WIC Program.
-Responsible for attending in-house meetings that impact the Program.
-Maintains caseload and waiting list for the Program.
-Prepares reports on monthly activities of the Program.
-Works with Pediatricians and Nurse Practitioners re: questions, changes and problems.
-Attends the WIC coalition monthly meeting and reports to Administration on pertinent matters.
-General management of WIC office including but not limited to, cleanliness, proper stock of supplies, etc.
- Three or more (3+) years of professional experience in public health or community health capacity
Completion of a dietetic internship in an institution approved by the American Dietetic Association
- Currently registered or eligible for registration by the American Dietetic Association (Policy Requirement)
- Bachelor’s in Nutrition Sciences, Community Nutrition, Clinical or Human Nutrition Dietetics, Food & Nutrition or Public Nutrition (Required)
- Master’s in the Same as above (Preferred)
- Individual Counseling (Required)
- Group Education (Required)
- Planning, developing and implementing nutrition activities and Nutrition Education Plan (Required)
- Computer Knowledge (Required)
