Formulates, plans, directs and coordinates the pharmacy services in BronxCare Health System and its practices
- Develops, recommends and implements pharmaceutical service programs consistent with the medication needs of the patients including control and accountability of drug products throughout BronxCare Health System
- Participates with BronxCare Health System staff in formulation, development and recommendation regarding evaluation, selection procurement, storage, distribution, use and other matters relating to drugs.
- Collaborates in the development and implements programs of record management including: transactions of the pharmacy; control over requisitioning drugs.
- Disseminates information with respect to drug therapy (and side effects) to other clinical staff.
- Contributes to and participates in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the department. Contribution and participation includes data collection, analysis, implementation of and compliance with corrective/improvement activities, membership on CQI teams, consistent adherence to established clinical/performance standards and: adherence

- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with patients, visitors and other employees. Interacts professionally, courteously, and appropriately with patients, visitors and other employees. - Works with senior administration on the oversight and development of the BCHS 340B drug program.
- Develops, recommends and implements medication safety policies and initiatives.
- Oversees the BCHS antibiotic stewardship program.
- Oversees the Pharmacy Residency Program (PGY-1 & PGY-2).
- 5 recent years Hospital Pharmacy experience in general acute care practice, including progressive supervisory responsibilities with Joint Commission, CMS, USP797/800, and experience with managing an Accredited Pharmacy Residency Program.
- Current NYS Pharmacy License
- Bachelor’s in Pharmacy
- Master’s in Pharmacy, Science
- ASHP Board Certification and good interpersonal skills
- Extensive Computer Knowledge
